Maine’s New Hermon Mountain Is The Perfect East Coast Winter Travel Destination
Let’s be real here: Maine is nothing short of a winter wonderland each and every year. As the northernmost state in the United States, it sure does get wintery around here, and what better way to celebrate the season than by going outside and enjoying it? That’s where our friends at New Hermon Mountain come into the picture: this awesome adventure park is everything you never knew you needed to survive the winter in Maine without dying of boredom. Come check it out!

And lucky us: it’s ours. All ours (insert sinister laughter complete with thunder and lightning here)!
It’s a mecca for skiers, snowboarders, tubers, and everyone else who just loves a day or two (or ten) in the great outdoors particularly when it’s covered in snow.
It feels like you’re way, way up in the mountains somewhere north of here… but really, you’re only 10 minutes outside of the city of Bangor. Score!
If you’re not sure what you’re even doing out here (ha, same), New Hermon Mountain offers lessons for skiing and snowboarding so you can learn. Best of all, the lessons are affordable.
Skiing is delightful during the day… and it becomes even more magical once the sun goes down and the moon comes up.
Season passes are definitely recommended for folks who plan to keep coming back (and I don’t blame them). Whatever you plan to do, I’m sure it’ll be the best ever!
Planning to visit but need a place to stay? Our friends at Booking.com will help with that! Curious about how to start planning your adventure? Check out the official New Hermon Mountain website.
